If you recieved a Shimano rod like many of us, that problem is not uncommon. I have read reports of members contacting Shimano and getting a repacement tip section directly from them. Tom

it depends on what you want out of it. It is a gateway to opportunities. chance to win contests, but more importantly a chance to make new friends .
those friends will open up more opportunity's to you . example: free place to stay out of town , guided fishing trips on waters your not familiar with .
Take a kid fishing , If the fish aint biting entertain them. Photobucket

Ty:  Yes you should be able to get the tip portion replaced first contact the club and then if no satisfaction contact the rod Manufacturer.  My rod finally broke after many years (warranty long past) and I was able to get (buy) a replacement from the club!!! Hope this helps
