Thanks for the info Walt. Rogers Rock has a wash station up near the recylcing building and a sign says you must wash your boat before and after you put your boat in. Do you suppose that means all the marina's will have to have a boat washing station? If not why then have them at the public launches? I've had my boat inspected several times not only at lake George but other adk lakes without incident. They usually hire some college kid to sit at the launches. To show how effective this is on one ocasion I backed down the launch stopped got out and asked if he wanted to look my boat over the young man shook his head and waved me on. So much for that!!! There is no perfect sollution here. The best thing we can do is to do our own personal best to keep our boats free from invasive species. By cleaning them to try to stop the spread. The less we do the more regulation we'll get.
