Several years ago at a fishing tackle show (Fred Hall in Del Mar), i looked at a product, a sort of thread to tie bait to hooks and lures.  Now I can't remember the name and I want some for use with deadbaits.  Anyone have any ideas?  Thanks.

Hey AZAllen...try using "Miracle Thread". It's used for tying bait to hooks and tying salmon egg sacks together. Do a google seach and you'll get a few hits. Good luck.

Also look up rigging thread and wire. Dental floss works to make belly strips also.

really, they have since found out that tying bait to your hook is not a very good idea, especially when fishing for catfish, they use their whiskers and can feel that something isnt right about the bait. Your result = less bites.
