Well since Short shift at work today allowed me to come home early I spent the better part of the mid afternoon tying flys. well Today I figured I'd try to learn the Foam Beetle. This fly looked real simple and for someone like myself who hasn't been tying for very long was to consider this a beginners fly. Beginner or not I really enjoyed learning this fly and I think I tied it relatively close to what the how to called for. I was really Impressed how this fly went together and how easy it truly was. For those who wish to learn how to tie this fly below is a how to from waspi.

you can also tie in some rubber legs take two strands for each side and just fold the rubber strands in half over the thread then adjust position and tie in . now that beetle is a spider.  and  works great for bluegills.
