OK Forget the First Part which is the Family !
Lets Focus on the Important Part
The sample is Procaster 662 MRS -N
Forget Procaster and Look at the Numbers 662
They Mean the Rod is 6 feet and 6 Inches and 2 Pieces
    Then you have MRS
The list goes Duty /// Action /// Type of rod
    M Being Medium Duty
    R Being Regular Action
    S Being Spinning Rod !
    /
    662 MRS
    /
6 foot 6 inch 2 piece medium duty regular action spinning rod
    Thanx

I have two St Croix rods, LTM80MHF and XC70MF. Without cheating and looking on the St Croix web site, can you guess what they are?

Isn't St. Croix a fly fishing brand? MH must stand for medium heavy. But the F... Fiberglass?

I just picked up a blank yesterday made by Lamiglass.  IF662L is the code.  But unlike the examples listed previously the 662 does not mean 6'6" 2 peice.  It is actually 66" 2 peice.  After looking at different Lamiglass blanks, they are all listed in inches as far as the cose goes.
