Hello all. Well im new to this forum and already enjoying it. Im from LA but lived in Red Bluff most of my life. Ive been fishing for around 20 years, I go for what's around here no need to travel far to catch fish. I've fished for and have caught salmon (54lbs. was the largest), trout (caught many cows over 10lbs, about a lb. for wild trout not many tho.), steelhead(not many but a 3lb for my largest), bass(lots caught 6 lbs is the biggest so far), crappie(a few, caught a near 2 lb white), and catfish(a dozen give or take, 15'ish lbs for the biggest cat). I grew up fly fishing, I also went to a fly fishing camp when I was younger. But all of my flyfishing and tying gear disappeared on me. So now I'm back to just a spinning rod. I'm targeting crappies and bass right now using my old Daiwa D-Shock 7' medium action rod, childhood Shimano custom X-1000 quickfire reel spooled with fresh 6 lb Spidermono. I have a 4 year old daughter who loves getting her hands dirty so she's ripping lips with me every time I go. I'll get some pics up when i can, no pics taken yet this year.

Hi cshackelford, welcome to the forum. are you also new to the club? its great that you had the chance to attend fly fishing camp when you were younger. that sounds like a great way to start.
