hoch04: Sorry for the troubles you are experiencing with the website. I'm gathering your feedback to send to my guys in IT. Could you help me help you by providing me some specifics to pass on to the IT guys? ... What system and OS do you use? What web browser do you use? Are you having the same errors at multiple times during the day, night, morning, etc, or generally always at the same time? ... Thanks, those are generally some of the questions the IT guys request that I ask in order for them to most efficiently troubleshoot issues. -- Regards, Web Guy Greg |

I have not had any issues with the new site. It is generally pretty fast and don't get the errors that others are experiencing. I run Fedora Linux, using mostly Firefox 3.0.15 but occasionally use Chrome. Thought I would let you know so the IT guys can look at what is working and what is not to help pin point the issues.

I have firefox and internet explorer. This site is a disaster with either one. It took me hours to get on tonight. FIX THE DAMN SITE!!!!!! I am one angry camper right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am a member on 6 other fishing sites and I NEVER experience the problems I do on this site. OK, I'm editing this post and I'm calmer now. I apologize for the rant above, but this is extremely frustrating! I come on the site at @ the same time every day, around 7 to 9 pm Mountain time.Get all kinds of error messages. I don't even remember how I was finally able to get on tonight, it literally took HOURS! Please fix this. I'm a very happy and loyal member, but this is annoying beyond description and this forum site is a pleasure to me, but not the way it is now. It has to be your server since I never have any trouble whatsoever on any of the other 6 fishing sites where I'm a member. |

I have shared your frustration in the past. But recently the site has been much faster. I use Google Chrome and have had very few issues with site speed as of late. I know it can be infuriating when you want to log in and it won't let you. Things are getting better all the time though. It is slow going, but I have definitely noticed a marked improvement. |

I use IE8, Windows 7 & am on cable. This site is 5 times slower that NAHC. Aren't you the same organization? The websites are the same format & there are a LOT more users on NAHC. Why is NAFC so cottin' pickin' slow ????? |

I am very glad to see that I am NOT the only one that is having issues with the Web Site. I am operating on Windows XP, IE8, and connected to High Speed Cable Internet. This site is so slow I am about ready to just by pass it all together. Another Issue is the Contests. You sign up to try and win prizes, and it states the drawings will take place around the 10th on the following month, but is seams like the winners are never posted for months after the drawings. Like the Click & Win, the last postings for the winners was; November, December, Janruary. What the Hell happened to February, March, April??????? I just know I didn't win anything because I never get any e-mails from the site. I think this site needs a major overhaul with some new people at the Helm that care about the site and not just to take your money and laugh all the way to the Bank. |

Hey Pegsguy! Sorry I have not been on the fourms lately. I've been in contact with our IT guy Joel, who I know is working hard to get everything worked out. As for Facebook, my main job duty is to manage the Facebook page and grow that community. I'm open to any tips or ideas to better integrate the forums and Facebook users, etc. -- Regards, Greg |

The biggest problem I have had is the tendency to toggle back and forth, for example if you go into misc and try "good Morning", go to the last page and say "hi" then try to get back out, as you hit the back arrow and get to the first page, hit again, go to last page, hit again-1st page, again- last page, again-1st page and so forth. I have had this happen to me entering contests. I have sometimes just left the browser and started completely over. I doesn't happen all of the time but when it does, frustrating. |

No Captain... we have not had a run in with any pretty sword armed Terminators. We've got a lot of projects on the ball at the moment, and I haven't had as much time as I'd like to troll the forums and respond. (I'm the manager of the web site plumbing. Forums posting is a few notches down on the list... but making sure the site is up and fast is #1)
Believe it or not, we are still finalizing our migration to the new data center, and ironing out the kinks. The good news, we're almost done. The bad news is, as we keep iterating on this, each subsequent fix or tweak nets less and less. Thus, no big miraculous improvements lately as there are fewer big miracles to work.
Someone commented on Hunting Club being much fast than Fishing Club. Truth is, they are running on the exact same server setups. The current opportunity/challenge/problem is with the way some of the visual aspects of Fishing Club work. The good news is, we know what the problems are. The bad news is, it falls under a different group's umbrella to fix them, and they are also very very busy.
As for any other members experiencing errors, I'm glad to monitor this thread for additional feedback, but your description of your problems needs to be pretty detailed in order for me to see if I can't repeat the problem and find a fix for it.

Nice animation, Cap'n!
I have to say, the site has gotten a lot faster, well, at least for me. It seems to work a lot better with Google Chrome, so anyone who comes to the forums regularly should probably install it.
This site should be the club's MAIN FOCUS, not Facebook. I know Facebook is important, too, but neglecting the CLUB SITE is really cutting down member participation in the forums and, likely, in the contests and in the CLUB STORE. Last year, at this same time, the forums would be incredibly active. I would never, ever be bored. These days, I'm lucky for anyone to respond to a topic. The forums have became an absolute drag.
Tech Guys, you need to really focus on generating traffic to the forums and to the website. I, myself, am not a Facebook kind of guy and I'm sure a lot of other members aren't either. |

Every other site I visit works just fine with both IE and FF. I don't think the members should need to run 3 browsers to make sure that the one that is working that day is available. IE is the most prevalent browser, the site should be optimised for it. |
