Just this past Saturday, I took my kids fishing at a new spot that looked very promising.  Unfortionately, luck was not on our side and the only fish we caught was the minnows out of the minnow bucket lol.  After several frustrating hours, we packed up all of our stuff and headed to the truck to leave.  I asked my kids, three boys, to grab some of the stuff.  I figured with the four of us, we could get everything in one trip and not have to walk back and forth.  Well, silly me, did not check to see that everything was gotten and loaded on the truck .  Just this afternoon, found out that the cooler, my kids tackle boxes, rods and all was packed, everything except my tackle box.  Lesson learned, don't forget to check behind the kids you take with you.

OHH no, I can so relate to that, but i can't in good faith blame it on the kids for what happened to me (they were not there) I was night cat fishing on the Mississippi river a few years ago right below on of the locks and dams in NE Iowa there was on street parking very near the spot. My wife and I carried everything to the top of the hill to the truck. I set a couple things down to put other things in the back got everything in or so i thought The next day we decided to a different spot so i went out to the truck to check to make sure everything was there and my tackle box was gone. I thought real hard for a minute or ten and remembered that i had sat it down behind the truck and must have drove off with it sitting right there... i feel your pain my friend.
