I have a 12 foot Sears Jon boat from the 60's. The lake I have been going to has alot of rocks and tree stumps under the water and its starting to scuff the hull when I slide over one. Could I put like a roll on bedliner on the bottom to protect it some or would that be a waste of $100 to do that? I dont want it to start leaking and between that and the concrete boat ramp its starting to take its toll on the lil boat. Thanks for the advise in advance.

Yes you can I did the bottom of my 16 footer several years ago I used black coal tar epoxy it's used to coat the inside of commerical trash compactors,to keep them from rusting out. The bed linner stuff like Rino should work fine unlike the stuff I used that dries hard like concrete bed liner will dry but remains a little flexable. I have to recoat my boat this summer thats what I'm going to use. MCOPELAND1

good to hear
I will be starting this tomorrow and have it ready for the weekend on the lake. I think I will do the inside as well just to provide some traction in the aluminum hull.
