I've been a life member for awhile now just have not been on here so I thought I would check it out. I'm from north central SD spend most of my time hunting and fishing, if i'm not doing one i'm ussually doing the other. Heading to the Rainy river in northern MN this weekend to catch some big walleyes and sturgeon, first trip up there hope we hit it right.

I thought Rainy River sounded familiar, so I looked it up when I got home from work.  To my surprise, it's from going to my uncles in International Falls in the summer (He worked the BC line for the Fed Rail Admin) and we would go across to Ft. Francis so us kids could say we had been in Canada.   Small world!

Yep its right on the border, you can only fish the US half of the river unless you get boat permits and fishing license from Canada. I've never been to Canada either so I might have to sneak over there for a second just to say I've been there.
