Do any of the Canadian members know where I could get a good lake map for Loonhaunt Lake in NW Ontario?  I have tried a few websites but they did not have this particular lake.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

From what I saw on the Internet...this lake is only accessible by fly-in....so the chances are there isn't a depth map even made at this point.

Wish I could help you more....as I really believe that a depth map increases a fisher-person's chances of finding / catching fish.

    Good luck with this!

Thanks for the reply Dave.  We do fly in, but there are also a couple of portages that people come in on.  I know the parts of the lake we mainly fish pretty well, but I would like to do some more exploring without wasting alot of time.  Thanks for the input

Check out this satellite photo (zoomable)

    http://www.mapygon.com/canada/ontar...aunt-lake/

And here's the full Google version

Light colored areas should be shallow...compare to what you already know.

One more thought...contact the Ontario Fisheries folks. If a map of the lake does exist....they should be able to tell you.

    Good luck!
