I don't use Doug's charts, but most of the moon times charts are based on the center of the zone. There is a formula to add or subtract time but I will have to look it up, I don't have it handy. Tom

The correction factor is +/- 4 minutes for each degree you live east(-) or west(+) of the time zone meridian. The meridians are: Eastern-75* Central-90* Mountain-105* and Pacific-120*. Sounds complicated but it is not and you only need to figure it once. Tom

I've had some pretty good days on the water when the moon said don't fish. Of course there have been other days when the fish mysteriously start eating when the calendar told me they would. It's another tool in the tool box, but I wouldn't call it perfect. There are other maps that are more detailed and specific to your location. Just my 2 cents

If you have a smart phone, you can download a free application that gives you real-time solunar data based upon your phone's gps coordinates. I've downloaded it and the application works nice. But...I can't say that any calendar has really helped me put more fish in the box.

I have never bothered to enter the solunar times in my fishing log. This year I intend to do so. My experience is that weather almost always will trump any other factor you can come up with. I include water temp as part of the weather. Like everyone else, I have not been able to buy a fish on days that I thought should be good and had them jumping in the boat on days I figured as a waste of time. There have been times when I have been out and looked at my watch and said "ok, the bite can start now" based on a table and looked like a genius. Tom

I wait 30 minutes to pick up my grand daughter from public school each day--usually use that time to stay read up. There is an excellent little book that comes along with the Prime Times Kit and it does me good about every two months to read through it again. Always learn something I had forgotten. I also have Marine Radio in my truck so I can catach up on the latest weather on the coast. My next chore is to secure a reallly good depth finder with GPS and charting. What I really need is several courses in explaining all these mechanical wonders. As Easter approaches may the Good Lord Bless and keep you and yours. Great time to spend time with family, especially taking those Grands fishing or maybe even Mom. Uncle Tom
I built my own lure company as a young man--thus the name UncleTomsJigs. It grew so well I decided to give it up and go fishing with family, friends and especially grand children. I became disabled as a United Methodist Pastor IN 2002 and retired here in Coastal Georgia on a 10 acre lake where I continue to fish despite my disabilities. My wonderful wife and I enjoy fishing together. God has blessed us in so many ways and we pray the same for you. I am excited about having so many new friends all over this great country.

    Stephanmarkdillon:
Hannon's Moon Times are based on the moon's position relative to the earth. Thus, you don't have to adjust from a particular time zone, he says. An activity period that starts at, say 1:25 P.M. in the Eastern zone will also start at 1:25 Central time in that zone, and so on for Mountain and Pacific zones. The timing can get a little fuzzy along the boarders of the zones, but by only a few minutes.

I can't attribute any success to Hannon's Moon Tables. I think a fish eats at the same time I do, WHEN IT'S HUNGRY!
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if it wasn't for my super smooth carbon drag, my 30 year old Trilene would bust!
