I am a new member and considering going to Lifetime Member.  Recieved my first book Bass Strategies.  I plan on purchasing the book, it has good tips, but is buying the whole library worth it?  I understand I don't have to buy every book/dvd; just send it back, right?  Do I have to pay the s&h on those I don't want?  Any info would be helpful.

Hey tsmith, I echo jtaylor's welcome into the club. I myself am a new member and considering becoming a lifetime member. I've recently purchased Bass Strategies and am waiting for the second installment, but I'm sure it's gonna be just as good. On another note, let me say that a vast majority of the members who use these forums are very helpful and knowledgeable. I've only been fishing for about a year and a half and no one has made me feel like a total newb or has been disrespectful. Whether or not you buy the books or any of the other added offers, let me say that I truly believe the knowledge of your fellow members and the magazine itself will most likely make you a better angler, it's done so for me, I know it will for you. This is a great vehicle to have your questions answered and chime in if you have tips/tricks to share also.

Hey...welcome to the club! My opinion on the book library is this...some of them are ok, have some good tips etc, etc...Most of them are outdated and many of the books are repeatative. I have in my collection I think about 15 or so books...which is about 12 too many. There's like 3 books on receipes...really??? I don't eat that much fish to have 3 entire books on fish receipes! LOL. Just beware that they first start coming about 1 a month...with a free lure or fishing line. Then they start coming 2 a month, with no lure or line, and then before you know it, it's 3 books a month...and some books are 32 dollars, others 27 dollars. That can add up real quick, before you know it your in the hole for about 200 dollars on books and life membership dues, if you chose the installment plan. I finally had to stop the book collection and dvd library. It just became too much to spend on outdated books and dvd's in which most of them i'll never use. To be honest, I learned more about freshwater fishing...Bass fishing from Bill Dance and Jimmy Houston on t.v. than i did with the books. I fish saltwater about 3 times a week and maybe freshwater twice a year. I wish the club has something more to offer other than freswater fishing. North America has saltwater too. They should change the name to North American Freshwater Fishing Club.

I've received quite a few books from the Angler's Library.  My favorite was Catch Fish Anywhere, Anytime!

I feel slightly neglected. The club has harassed me by sending only ONE book so far...

Not sure where this should go, but I received NAFC 2010 Season DVDunder invoice LNGH0338 and paid for it on 4/12 under the same invoice #, I don't need a second copy, but it is showing up in My Acount as payment due again. How does this get canceled before the shipment. I will call the 1-800 # and see what happens!!

have you tried looking for them online or in a used book store you would be surprised at what you can find there. Most of them have been floating around for years now.
example may be a bay or other online auction s.

I know what you mean ! I spend so much mailing this stuff back I can't afford to buy the stuff I want !
Why wont they put this stuff in the online store and let us buy what we want instead of what they think we want ?
