In the wee hours, I upgraded our forum software with the goal of further improving speed and stability.

Everything appears to be running fine.

Later this week we will be pointing FC at a new load balancer.  That's tech speak for, "Ya'll won't be seeing many 500 errors after this is done."

Stay tuned, and please be patient.

Are you able to move around the forums correctly if you navigate to them yourself?

Perhaps copy/paste a forum link from the email you are having trouble with.

    Hi Folks.   Joel here.

The issue was a bug in the new version of the 3rd party forum software we installed.   While we tested the upgrade process on development servers, we missed the small issue of paging while logged in to the system...  for this, I am sorry and a little embarrassed.   I made an assumption that the paging worked the same logged in and out... and you know what they say about assumptions.

I spent the day tracking the issue down, and fashioned a patch which will hold until we get to the bottom of the problem and fix it.

Also, you may notice some cosmetic inconsistencies.   That's WAS expected, and Chad and his team will be making a pass over the club forums in the next few days to smooth out those wrinkles.

    Thanks for your patience.

    -Joel

PS>  It's still a good idea to know how to clear your browser cache though! The new load balancer I'll be installing for the club will make things faster and almost eliminate 500 errors, but it can cause temporary hiccups with user browser caches.

Are you speaking Chinese or Japanese!? Ha ha sorry im no good with technology especially computer jargon! But it's good to see things getting fixed and improved upon. Can you perhaps explain why, while using Google Chrome, it won't let you upload pictures in the forums? After clicking the attachments button sometimes nothing happens and when it does work, it will not let you add a picture. Kind of frustrating! Maybe you guys could take a look at that? Thanks!

I have this terrible sense of impending doom! Seems everytime the club tries to "improve" the site it becomes difficult to use for weeks at best. For example- what good is an avatar if no-one can see it? Old saying- "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"

Patient is something we have had to be as we have had problems for years now. That is why most of the older club members don't hang out here any more.  BUt is nice to know some one is trying to fix things.

I cant access my account when I log in. It just isn't there anymore....I guess I won't be paying my NAFC bill...I like the club....but this website is probably the worst...errors, pages take forever to load..etc, etc...I know it's not my computer...I'm running windows 7 with 64 bit...8 gigs of ram etc, etc....Whats so hard to get a website to run properly???? It's not like the web page is getting "overloaded" with millions of visitors thats slowing it down and causing it to crash/run improperly....The old website was so much better...The new one is trying to be like facebook/twitter or atleast be compatable with them....Guess what? Fishermen/Outdoors men/women don't give 2{1}****s about facebook/twitter...

What happened to the font size? It seems to be about 1/4 the size it used to be. Please put it back the way it was. These old eyes can't see them any more. It almost looks like a thick line instead of squiggly lines most might call letters.

I am glad to see that my expectations have been met! If nothing else this site IS consistent! I can count on any changes being for the worse. A new low was achieved today. Normally I access the site through Firefox (at the suggestion of the IT guys) and it normally performs marginally better from there but today I was unable to even log in through FF!

I also have found that this site performs the best when using Firefox. I downloaded the browser specifically for that reason. Since many of this site's features fail to operate properly using Google Chrome. So far, I haven't had too many issues with the site using Firefox.

I hate to say it Joel...but "3rd party" IMHO is what is eating up the 'Net at this point...as WAY too many companies are trying to collect WAY to much data on users....just to have adverts targeted to the users.

I personally block ALL 3rd party cookies...and have ALWAYS recommended this to others.

Software developers have worked their way around part of that with Javascripts and other "unknown files"...which leave a bad taste in my brain as far as respect goes for software writers.

I agree with Salty Dan, this print is too hard to read and I leave nose prints all over my screen.

    LARGE FONT PLEASE.

For a workaround to the font size (being too small),
