Yes, I know. This topic is old. But I brought it back up because I see that the forums have been extremely dead lately once again! So, I ask you, where have all the members gone!? No one has been starting new topics and no one has been posting either. Chat room is like a morgue too. Thoughts?

I think things should pick up in here with fall and winter coming on. What sucks is that stupid old facebook seems to be alive and well!

Yeah, and the "members" on Facebook are extremely rude and hostile towards each other. Threats, cussing etc. At least this site has maintained some semblance of respect and civility! (With an exception every now and then)

Seems like more now than then lately, lol!

It is one of the reasons I don't frequent the Forum anymore, always the same people and a lot of bickering, foul language, and few new information. I remember the "good old days" when we got on here and actually talked fishing. Not much of that going on here anymore. And not much assistance from the Editors here either. It's just sad to see the old gang gone. Long for those days.

Times have changed Kaiman...can't expect things to remain the same forever...Facebook is just a fad...as was Myspace. In another year or so, Facebook will be history, and something new will come along. You should try making a couple of new friends and maybe join or create fishing group or two, it's what you make of it. Maybe make a post regarding fishing, or fishing tips?? Start us on a discussion...you've been a member since 1999....I'm sure you have something of substance to talk about.

Well...as far as I can tell...and I should know, I'm here every day...there have been two new faces here this week. One was that maniac with the foul mouth, the other, you. Perhaps the reason you always see the same people is there are only a handful of us hanging out here. As far as the bickering and foul language...that is a direct result of the maniac I just mentioned. Try spending some time here...scroll down the page past that garbage and check out the great tips buried below it! I don't know which I'm more sick of seeing...the profane rants of said maniac...or the old timers coming in here longing for the old days. Come on NAFC, remove the garbage, so that when these members DO decide to tip in, they can see something productive!

                                                                                           

Well said mo , I try to come on everyday also. I've been a lifemember for almost 3yr's and in my short time here thier have been alot of changes some good and some not..But i still enjoy coming on and reading the fourms. Most of the time i learn something about fishing on a dailey bases.If not you can talk to a good group of people that enjoy fishing as much or more then i do. JOHN

I myself, have been busy fishing, working and building my own bait shop. But winter time is here, and it will slow down some, at least for a short while

It seems things are picking up a bit on here!

Hopefully they continue to pick up. I enjoy forums when they are actually being used. I dislike idle forums.

So much has changed over the short course of time I t would be nice if the staff members would post some discussions or actualy answer the ask a fisherman questions like they were going to do.
But no we the members took it upon are self's because they did not .

I still enjoy the forums.

A good many members went to {1}*******s site...And that site is NOT a fad! For those of you that want good fishing info, topics and discussions, ask the editors why they destroyed all the posts! I got to tell CQ, you got a lot to learn about the old timers...We have done more for this site as far as topics and info than ANY of you newer members...Instead of asking others to start topics and discussions, try starting some of that yourselves....That's my story and I'm sticking to it! I dragged up a good bit of older topics, most of the text on the rest was eliminated by the web master when they did the changes starting in 2007...I'll see ya around the fishing hole!
