5 inch senkos wacky rigged work really good. I also throw little in-line spinners, and at night buzz baits. Also i sometimes throw little sub-surface crank baits. Also if there is a lot of cover and scum i throw frogs. the key is casting close to the bank ahead and behind you. You are just wasting time casting to the middle most of the time unless its a shallow cove or some depth change or something like that.

personally i would use the wacky worm technique for shore fishing, i always get a nice keeper!
