My father taught me growing up "why worry". The logic behind this is if it is something you can fix, why worry just fix it. If it is something that can not be fixed, again why worry, there's nothing you can do about it. Its a logic I have lived my life by... probably why I don't have high blood pressure.....Happy Fishing

That is a nice idea, wish my life had been so simple and mine is not bad compared to some. On the other hand, one does have to deal with the life one is given and sometimes, some people find that too much, I've had some personal exprience there.

I understand that. Just a philosophy that worked for me.. No offense meant.....

None taken, I do understand the philosophy, I've heard it as an Irish prayer, but sometimes things shake you off your foundations or it could be said that once in a while the totally unexpected punches you in the gut.
I wish for that to be a rarity for all of you.

Can we maybe keep this section geared more towards FISHING related topics instead of personal ideology's and you displaying your own individual philosophy's? Just a thought on my behalf. The forums have been dead enough lately without adding topics like this that really have no point related to fishing and that put off already "frustrated with the forums" members.

Sorry Captain!! I don't want to walk the plank!! On a different note, was commenting on "My Page" section of the club website, about how I was fishing for bluegills off a dock down in Safety Harbor FL, when I did battle with a water moccasin for one of my fish.... Had about a dozen or so , I pulled up my stringer ti line another fish, the moccasin had about 2/3 of one of my gills in its mouth. Had to cut the stringer to get the dang thing off... probably why I don't use a stringer anymore...I use a five-gallon bucket now...

One thing we DON'T have out on my end of the world is cottonmouths, which is OK by me, the buzztails are enough of a potential problem. Snakes and turtles are a reason why lots of people have "left" the stringer and gone to buckets or wire baskets.
CQ, this was under the "miscellaneous" column which sort of opens it up to everything and as you will notice, much of this misc. column is not really tied to fishing. In one thread, one person asked about having a "politics" column, in the NAHC forums they do, sort of, it is called "Miscellaneous".
So, take a deep breath, understand that lots of us have appreciated many (most?) of your posts and hope you will be on the BB for a long time.

Appreciate the words of encouragement AZ..... Although politics effects us all, personally, I don't care much for politics. Our current govenor in Florida, is a crook (he admits it, Medicare Fraud), and they elected him anyways.. sad state of affairs. Maybe if they went fishing more, they wouldn't be such shmucks.....

It is sad that the bull that politicians shovel is more important than the character of the person, an example is when Sen. Fienstien had a hissy fit when and officer in one of the services called her "Ma'am" instead of Senator. then again California re-elected "moonbeams". (Jerry Brown).
Yes, maybe they could learn to relax and just enjoy.

Charper. you got the right spot to discuss this type of stuff. thats what the misc section is for in my own opinion. there are already plenty of headings for fishing related stuff. Its nice to learn about what makes all our members tick or just to have a little fun, maybe give someone a little crap now and again.
