I was wondering if anyone's had any luck on the St. Lawrence near Clayton yet. A group of us are headed to Cedar Pt. for a few days. Fishing's been good in the past but we're headed up earlier than normal. I'd appreciate it if anyone had any updates on the river, especially near Cedar Pt. State Park, and if any lures have been working well.
    Thanks
    -Jesse

    Hi Jesse,

I usually go up there the week after Memorial day, but this year it wasn't in the cards and is going to have to wait until late summer. What are you fishing for? This time of year in and around eel bay you can catch just about anything. Good luck and let us know how you did.

Thanks for the response. Got back sunday afternoon. We did pretty well. Camped out of Cedar Pt. State Park and worked the shore line on that side of the river in both directions. My buddy caught two ugly bowfin in Rose Bay. We got into some decent smallmouth by Linda Island. Flynn Bay had alot of action, smallmouth, largemouth, pike/pickerel. Rock bass were every where and we got into some decent perch here and there. Another friend landed a 36-40" pike in a bay just east of Flynn, same island. He got excited catching it and getting his pic taken, forgot to measure. Overall a good trip. Fish were all hitting jigs with grubs, x-raps, clackin minnows and cranks, lipless cranks, mepps.
