yep I have seen a few articles on this. A girl who works down the hall from me has these in her hair. look on the brite side though. all the farms that are producing these will need to gear up to meet demand. in 6 months or a year when the fad is over there will be an over stock of hackle feathers and they will need to drop thier price to get rid of inventory, at least that's what i hope happens. anybody for bobber earrings? I will sell you a pair for 50 bucks. |

Feathers, Feathers, Feathers Everywhere! Many of you may have private shooting preserves in your area where they hunt deer, turkey, quail, and phesants. All of which are cleaned for clients. Visit the cleaning and strike up a conversation with those cleaning birds or skinning deer and you have a great source for hair for buck tail jigs and all kinds of feathers with some great colors for your fly tying. Quite often you can get them for nothing. Good luck and good fishing. Why not post some of your work in the photo section? Uncle Tom |

| I built my own lure company as a young man--thus the name UncleTomsJigs. It grew so well I decided to give it up and go fishing with family, friends and especially grand children. I became disabled as a United Methodist Pastor IN 2002 and retired here in Coastal Georgia on a 10 acre lake where I continue to fish despite my disabilities. My wonderful wife and I enjoy fishing together. God has blessed us in so many ways and we pray the same for you. I am excited about having so many new friends all over this great country. |

I just found a website that mentioned this. I chuckled a little bit but its still kind of weird. The only reason I stumbled across this is because this is the only place I can find that has Icelandic sheep hair. http://www.theriaultflies.com/chick...ackle.html Hopefully this is one of those quick trends like retired-psg said! |

Interesting site. It is kinda funny that they should say all their saddles are allocated to the hair industry but us tyers can still get necks. it should be opposite,Hey hair dressers you guys can only have the leftovers. i guess money talks eh. |

A buddy and I have some feathers for trade(off pheasent and chucker). Looking for home made lures and hand tied flies in exchange. If interested, email me at jeremy.binz@hotmail.com or @navy.mil. Please put Feathers for trade in the subject so they do not get missed. I will send photos to those interested. |
