I just bought my first boat. It came with a 30hp Mainer. I'm having trouble figuring out what year it is. Also I'm having trouble starting the motor. It looks very clean under the hood. No cracked lines or leaking. The last owner started it last fall for me. But I can't seem to start it. Any help with the year and starting would help alot.

Find the serial number on the motor and go to www.autorepairmanuals.biz/site/573683/page/599222 Then just follow the table. As for starting, could be a million things. is it electric start or manual. Does it turn over? Could be the starter, no fuel, bad ignition system. More information would be helpful for people to try and identify the problem
