also dont be afriad to try other colors sometimes something off the wall in color could land you a monster. You can fish it on a jig head to get deep on the water as well !

I have a tournament in a few weeks on a local pond that is stocked 4-5 times a year with mostly rainbow trout, some browns and occasionally some landlocked Atlantic  salmon. I was thinking of buying a pack of the Rainbow shad style Zoom's to throw at this tournament. Has anyone thrown this color fluke in a lake with a similar  rainbow trout stocking profile? If so what was the outcome? Good, bad or no real noticeable change. Thanks for the help.

I am looking to expand my color choice for the flukes. I fish in Rhode Island, Mass and Connecticut mostly. I use pearl white exclusively.  I'm wondering a few things from you guys that have joined in with replies. First, were do you fish, what are your top 3-5 colors and why do you like these colors? Thanks.

Also Try the Spike it colors you can modify the tails or heads of the baits for more flash. It works well on Pearl White

I fish southeastern Michigan on numerous inland lakes and Lake St. Clair. My top 3 colors and why are 1) Bubblegum -when i started using flukes i like the visiblity of bubblegum while it was a distance from the boat, it helped my understand the how the lure worked and helped me understand how to use it effectively. I caught alot of fish on bubblegum so i always keep them on hand. 2) Midnight Charturese - i have found it to be effective in stained water and clear water. 3) Pumpkin spice - just a good earthtone color that i have found to be effective. I also have two goto colors that if all else fails i go to and they are Rainbow trout and Smokin silver.

My brother in law and I fished Lake Vermilion in Minnesota one year and we went through 10 packs of bubblegum flukes, ran out and found ourselves super glueing old ones back together. That is when i realized that you can hook the fluke any way you want and get the same action. When the back to chewed up i just turn it sideways and hook it throught the side. then i used the other side. that way i get the most out of each one.

Another color that is effective is Electric Chick. I can also say that Jaysun is righ on with Arkansas Shiner and Watermelon seed. I dont use pearl white and i have never seen disco green but being that i am a self admitted soft plastic junkie ill be out looking for is soon cause is sounds cool.

Disco Green is very new I think it came out in April I was having trouble finding it in the stores Bass Pro Shops didnt even have it yet. SO i sent Zoom an e-mail and they sent me two packs in the mail for free how cool is that. What other bait company would do that ? The Disco Green is almost Clear with very dark green and black flakes in it shows up like a light bulb on sunny days. I have bought some bubblegum flukes will be trying them Sat on Lake Fork first time to ever use them !

Thanks for the Heads up   Monster
