    You dont need a fancy trip, guide or gear to catch salmon in Alaska check out the video from this last week.

    We just use an alder branch and mono string.

    So easy a.....you know the rest

    I still remember crappie fishing with 20# mono back in the days...I also did much better when I upgraded to a pop can instead of the stick. Then I could hand fish and cast for some distance. LOL's.
