Go for it, ther are some really good videos available from Cabelas, Bass Pro or Mud Hole. Just take your time read the directions twice, Even if you mess up on a guide wrap it is easy to cut loose and do it over. The only problem is that it can ba an addictive hobby. The real reward if when you complete the rod and catch your first fish on the rod that you built. Feels pretty good. Best of luck and enjoy.
