Has anyone on this forum used the product Smelly Jelly Pro Guide Formula? If so, how do you like it for bass fishing? And what flavor have you tried or recommend? Thanks for the help.

I have never heard of it. Is it a spray or gel. usally the crawfish or gamefish sprays work well.

It's a gel. Cabela's sells it. I fished with a guy in a tournament a few weeks ago who was using it. He had a good day and it never really crossed my mind that day to ask him about it. I have not seen him since so I figured I would see if anyone on this forum has used it.

The way I see it, high quality soft plastics like YUM F2 or Powerbait already have incredibly scientifically formulated scents already impregnated in them that have been proven in tests to be effective. So I don't like to use extra scents because I feel I may be covering up what is already a great scent for bass to begin with.
I swear, it was this big (---------------------------------------)

Good point ILbassin. I use Yum F2 spray because that's what is already in their products.

mo65: I have been using smelly jelly for years now I woun't leave the dock without a jar Bass Feast in my boat. I have tried the Yum and Powerbaits and personally I don't like either of them. I'll stick with my smelly jelly.

basbandit: You just go on and stick with your smelly jelly and I'll stick with my Yum F2 and we'll both be happy.
