    Hey guys,

I just bought an abu garcia revo sx and was wondering what rod to buy to go with it. My price range maximum is about $140. I use it for alot of things cankbaits, rubber worms buzzbaits etc.

    Thanks,

    Austin

I have a Bass Pro Shops brand tourney special rod in the 6 foot 6 inch model. It's only 50 dollars and paired with braid or a tough monofilament line, there isn't a single bait I wouldn't dare to throw with it. It just has that perfect action to it that works with just about every lure category.

I hear a lot of people are liking those Abu rods. I personally don't like the reel seat nut, but it may not be an issue to someone else.

I have several Shakespeares (UL 5' to Med 7') and 2 Bass Pro Bionic Blades (MH and H both 6-1/2') and have had no trouble with any of them.  The Shakespeare reel nuts/collars are "iffy"but they haven't given out yet and they're pretty cheep, but I do like the BPS reel collar, it's pretty solid, and they're probably still in you price range.
