I just finished a 7 day kayak/fish trip on the Current River. I was amazed at the size of the smallmouth just above the 106 bridge at Powder Mill. I was fishing my usual black and silver shad on a 1/8 oz jig but the locals were throwing big lures at them. I saw many guys throwing chartreuse spinner baits. Not sure if they were the ones catching or not. I've never heard good reports about Jacks Fork. Once you get below Big Creek, the Current has plenty of deadfalls along the edges and these were being fished heavily. What kind of boat will you be in and where will you start?

MoFishing; how was the trip? I know those rivers can get pretty crowded on the weekends. Hopefully you had good weather and good fishing.
