First off, these photos are not for the squeamish, but this is a safety issue that needs to be addressed however. FISH HOOKS IN THE EYE! Nearly everyone wears sunglasses during the day while fishing, but unless you need prescription lenses, how many of you wear clear safety glasses while night fishing? Not many right? I'm taking my beloved 11 year old granddaughter overnight fishing next weekend and want to make sure she wears clear safety glasses after sundown, she wears sunglasses during the day. PLEASE, take this warning to heart: WEAR CLEAR SAFETY GLASSES when you are not wearing sunglasses while fishing or risk horrible injury.

good tip b or b? Thanks for the warning about the pictures being graphic. That does not look like something I would want to go through. I have had to get a couple of hooks removed but noe even near the eye yet.

I had a hook removed from an eyelid when I was 6 or 7 years old.  I wasn't fishing at the time, but practice casting in the yard.  Not enough sense bak then to remove the hook first.  Very painful as I recall.  I don't wear sunglasses all the time, but have learned to turn my head away from my good eye.  I'm ok with my rigs, just have to watch out for partners when on the water.  Good advice for everyone, especially the youngsters.
