I bought some to. I think they suck frankly. I think we got bit by yet another fishing gimmick.

I tried them a few years ago. Never caught anything at all on them then a friend told me about the Zoom products and I never looked bac. In my opinon I think the Banjo Minnow system is a gimmick that catches fisherman not fish.

Someone gave me some a few years back.  I did catch a few fish on them, but like Jaysun, I found that the ZOOM products that I get at Walmart seemed to produce better results.  They have a pretty good advertising campaign though, and I'm sure it catches a lot of fishermen.

The guy that invented them (Wayne Hockmeyer) actually wrote a book on them (I have it).

He knows a lot more about fishing techniques than some folks give him credit for

He was a guide in Maine for many years

The website has a "Tips and Techniques" section...check it out and compare to how you guys fished them

It should be noted that Joe Renosky was the former CEO of Banjo...

The "Big Fish" version is supposedly a very good pike bait. I got a kit as a field test and have yet to catch anything with them, but in fairness I really haven't used them on any good pike water yet.

Boy, they sure worked good in that tank on the TV commercial, didn't they?

Don't feel bad, I bought into the Hydra-Lure a couple years ago. I still try it out every so often. Haven't caught anything yet. Sure looked good on TV. I have used the tails with spinnerbaits and jigs with some success though. I'm going to try the fluke tails weightless this weekend to see what happens.
