Hi, the other day I went fishing and there was one big bass that wouldn't eat anything. He would would swim around right in front of us but didn't seem to want anything we casted near him. finally, we gave up trying to catch him. So I decided to try to catch some bluegill instead. I put a very small chunk of leftover brim on the smallest hook I could find, and tossed it out right in front of us where we saw tons of brim. As soon as I saw it hit the bottom, I saw the bass swim slowly by, and eat the chunk of brim. When I finally go him out of thick weeds that were in the lake, and onto the shore(which was amazing that the hook didn't straighten), we weighed him in at about 5 lbs. I was amazed that he ate a chunk of leftover brim. So what I am saying is, don't be afraid to try something different like a chunk of brim in order to catch those bass that won't eat anything else.
Have fun, be safe, and tight lines!
