what is the best way to catch salmon and trout because i don't know.

Fly-Fishing is very affective but so are Spinners and Live Bait like Worms..Jst make sure where you wish you are able to fish live bait some places dnt allow it

Are u fishing in the lake or creek. Either way I would just use my spinning rod, reel with some powerbait (yellow) or a worm. Put a small split shot on and cast out. Like i have said before trout hate the sun. So over hangs or some part of shade like weeds should be a good place.

which species do u fish for more by chance? and are you fishing lakes or rivers for rivers and trout i use depending on the heavy current a one ounce pyramid weight and a two foot leader with a plastic worm or live worm seems to do well if that helps at all, as for salmon what kind are you fishing for atlantic,coho,kings? let me know i will help in anyway i can
