Has anyone used the Bass Pro Shops Cat Maxx rods. They look to be high quality in the store thinking about getting one just curious if anyone has used them.

I have a 11' Hvy Action Cat Maxx baitcast rod with a Abu 7000 on it and I love it. It has plenty of backbone and cork handle is a nice touch, mine is a early model and the eyes are thin aluminum I think they have beefier ones on the newer rods.
bass or bass?

Everything that I have purchased from BPS that is their own brand has proven to be of excellent value and quality. BPS products have become my first choice in tackle. I have a BPS Extreme baitcast reel, an Offshore Angler Trophy Class heavy boat rod (my flathead cat rod), a White River Dogwood Canyon fly rod, a BPS Mega-Cast MCM2000 baitcast reel (My channel cat reel), and use Offshore Angler Magibraid 80 pound test braid on my flathead reel. All these products are first rate and reasonably priced. I feel that you can't go wrong with BPS merchandise.

BPS also tends to stand behind their "house brand" products way beyond the published warranty. In addition, if you are a member of the rewards program, most house brand items earn double points and occasionally more!

You made a good choice, I have 2 10' rods and they are great. I also picked up 2 cat maxx 70 reels and they are great as well.
