I was wondering what you guys use when yall fish with minnows as far as hooks ans style and size of hooks. I have heard catfish love minnows just not sure what kind of hook to use. I want a fairly strong hook. Any help would be great

Hey '76, how's it goin'? I use Gamakatsu Shiner hooks. As far as the size, it depends on the size of your minnows. They make them from a size 6 all the way up to 5/0. If you're not familiar with them, look in your Bass Pro Shops catalog. They show all the Gamakatsu hooks.

Mo is right, the size of hook should match the bait. I use Gamakatsu octopus circle hooks from #4 through 1/0 for cats and would go bigger if using larger shiners or what in my area is called a golden roach.
