    At lock 5 chaimplain canal NYS saw small pike in weeds near dock dangled worm in front of him to have some fun w/my light outfit,then i saw scar on his mouth. He just sat there uninterested awaiting next minnow meal.  
    fooled once, but not twice!

    Hi Sharon, sounds like the pike has had a bit of experience with fishermen and will grow to be a nice BIG pike.

    I have always found pike to be more interested in a moving bait as opposed to a stationary one. I am sure that this is due to the way they feed.
    Lifer in NE Illinois Gen. 1:28 I didn't rise to the top of the food chain to become a vegitarian!
