Everyone swears by the senkos, Rapala's, Rooster Tails ect.. All well known house.. I mean tackle box names. So, my question to you is : What is your favorite "unknown" lure or manufactuer?
Mine is from Wyld Edge Lures, The Berezerker in a "custon" color off the steelhead lures called hot fuzz. |

Bass-ett baits based in rockford, Illinois. They do plastics, jigs, chatterbaits, buzzbaits, and a few muskie baits. There is a website under construction that will be up soon. |

I never hear anyone talk about Matzuo lures but they make some great stuff. I really like the Kroaker frogs, especially the black one with the scooped face like a popper. Killer topwater frog!

I'm a member of the www.outdoor-fishing.com site and we have a member there who makes the most AWESOME soft plastics named Toadfrog, so my favorites would have to be the Toadfrog plastics, I have about 10 different ones, all are killers!

Another I have found and started using. http://www.xfactortackle.com/ just checked out xfactortackle.com. looks great! i saw what looked like some great trout stuff. another company you should try is x-zone lures. it is a great custom hand pour company. two lures from them you should try are the slammer and the swammer. the slammer is a great drop shot lure and the swammer is a truly awesome swimbait. both are killer smallmouth lures. |

Someone posted the exact same company under trout a while back. I have been following them and really would likr to try out their trout series. They look good on tape. |

Well, I got my orders in for Dynamic lures and Xfactor Bait. Found out the the makers for the "Hot Fuzz" are closing their doors. I was able to put in one last large order. Hope that they last a long time. |

There are so many regional lure makers it would be nearly impossible to list them all, and some of the lures have a limited area of application. For example, I would hardly consider using the same lure or bait when fishing for trout in a mountain stream that I would when fishing hatchery trout in my nearby lake! |

Don't know if the new fishing company TABU counts as a "unknown" manufacturer but for those who haven't heard, check out http://tabutackle.com/. I like the Tiny Tim Swimbait and the Open Water Jig. Come to think about it, most of you might no about it, I think the Open Water Jig was in the Mag awhile ago. |
