At the end of September I'll be fishing in a college bass tournament on Clearwater lake in Minnesota and I was just wonderin if anyone from the area could give me any good strategies or hints on good parts of the lake to fish. I'm from PA so I don't have much experience that far north. Thanks

Look for key structure and find the right lure that fits the situation at hand.  That tactic has never let me down.

I would start off checking the weed beds around the island in the center. Next on the north end of the lake there is a channel that takes you into to another opening that has lots of reed beds. East of the island there is many sand bars (careful of the one between the two center lake points), some of these bars may also still hold some bass.
