I thought I'd introduce myself on this forum too.  I have been fishing from my Hobie kayak for 4 years now.  I fish in Nor. Cal. waters, mostly the California Delta for bass and stripers.

During the summertime, I love fishing topwater frogs for LMB.

If anyone has any kayak questions, just shoot me a pm and I'll try my best to answer you.

Very nice!! I lived in Sacramento for 32 yrs and now that I'm in Louisiana I've been introduced to kayak fishing. I WISH I WOULD'VE KNOWN ABOUT KAYAKS IN SAC, CUZ THERE'S A LOT OF SLOUGHS OUT THERE!! I just recently got me a 2012 Hobie Outback, but because of the horrible weather out here it's been garaged. I fish for Red fish out here in the coast and they fight just like Stripers. What Hobie is it you have?? Where is your fish finder mounted?? Well good luck to ya!!

I have two Hobies, a sport and an outback. You will like the outback, its roomy and super stable. My ffs are mounted on the top left rail near the pedals. Its within arm's reach, but out of the way (you can see it in the video.). I have a pool noodle water puck glued in the front hatch, and the power cord runs to a battery box under the center hatch. I use 10 AA batteries and that works for me.

I wanna get into a redfish someday...they look like fun to catch. I enjoy watching redfish shows on tv.

    Good luck fishing.

Hey fell NCKA'er. Let's hook up for some delta bass when it's time. Working on sturgeon, striper, and crappie now. Tried Bullards bar Mon for some dink spots. 50 degree water, but they were biting.

Hey bud!  Yeah, we should hook up sometime.  I fish most every weekend.  Shoot me a pm on NCKA (I check that daily).

    Later.
