Looks like a grunt to me. You'll find them around pilings, docks, and mangrove roots in brackish and salt water . Very common fish, I've caught lots of them. Have fun and happy fishing.

Nice catch 151....Looks like something in the porgy/snapper family...possibly a Pinfish. Pinfish have a distinctive black spot behind the gill cover, and I see what appears to be a spot behind the gill cover in your pic. They also have a bluish-silver body with blue and orange-yellow horizontal stripes, with yellow fins....There a fairly common fish that average 3-6 inches and are usually less than 1 pound. Whatever it is, I bet it's tasty....scale 'em, gut'em and fry 'em up!!

Cool beans! I reduced my images to under 500kb and now I can post them in the forums. Good luck Barresi, we're waitin' for some pics! Hey '151...here's a photo of my dad with some bluegills and crappies he caught last week. They made a great lunch. "tight lines"

Cool 151...thanks for the video....You didnt have to go thru all that trouble making a video...I wasnt aware that NAFC had a limit of 500kb on uploaded pics...But now I know! So tomoroow morning I'm going to go out for Blackfish, hopefully with pics to follow if they cooperate.

Hey Barresi, I'm using windows 7 so that can't be it. Try using Mozilla Firefox instead of Internet Explorer, it seems to make everything on this site smoother.

Mo, I tried everything...I even messed with my firewall settings and security settings, nothing. Attachments link won't open and I tried going the Photobucket route and that won't work either. This is the only website that I frequent that gives me a problem. Maybe I need to join Facebook? Lol
