This Beast was caught trolling a 8oz Bomber parachute rig with a 9 in Bomber shad body...After the photo, she was safely returned to the water....That was the best part...watching her swim away...

Nice fish. They stay pretty small on Lake Pleasant near my home, although the 2 latest state records were caught there. My largest one so far is just 3 pounds.

Thanks!...This Striper is from the Altantic Ocean....She was caught in Jamaica Bay...In the spring time, Stripers and Blues come in from the spawn and feed on Menhaden aka bunker...The action starts from late April to late June...Once the water temp gets into the 70 degree mark, they head out into deeper parts of the ocean...Bluefish will hang around all year, Find the Bunker and you'll find a Stiper or Bluefish or two.

Hey Barresi, I wonder if you saw the fish I was talking about? It has a caption that tells what I caught it on...a 6" watermelon/red flake Yum Dinger rigged wacky style. This is the one I submitted. And I was kiddin' about a boat ride...of coarse we're goin' fishin'!

I checked out all of your pics...really nice catches!! I've tried the Yum Dinger this past summer Upstate and didnt have any luck with it...I also used the Yum Money Craw...rigged by itselft, as a trailer...and nothing...I don't have any luck with Yum...lol. Maybe NY Bass are into Yum? lol All my sucess has come on Booyah, Strike King, Berkley and the mighty Senko...

Last year I caught most of my big bass on the Yum Dinger, this year...so far...ONE bass! This year's big producer for me is the Yum Mightybug...but you wouldn't be interested in that, would you? LOL

I haven't given up on Yum yet...the thing is my time is limited when I go upstate to fish, so I have to go with what works for me. This past summer I tried the Berkley Havoc (devils spear) Mike Iaconelli's design. It worked real nice. I caught a few on it, and it can be rigged in different ways. I Texas rigged it and caught fish..I used it as a trailer to my jigs and caught fish...and rigged it sideways and used it as a swimbait. Cool bait with many uses...give it a try Mo if you haven't already.
