Ok, we've seen the Sexy Shad, Sexy Spoons and Sexy just about everything else, but a frog? I'm very speculative of the ability of a shad-imitating pattern to produce fish in a frog-shaped lure. Just seems to me like a big clash of styles. Has anyone tried the new Sexy Frog yet? If so, how is it? Just looking at it I think that Strike King has finally exhausted the whole Sexy craze, but then again putting KVD on anything will make it sell. Thoughts?

That's right Skewl, Sexy Shad color is a HUGE seller, and I have just about every lure known to man in that color(even other manufacturers have copied the color). Interestingly though, the color hasn't been a big producer for me. I don't understand this...especially when KVD has won MILLIONS with it. Most likely, its because the water I'm fishin' doesn't have shad in it...but who knows? My most productive frog color is black, and I've never saw a black frog, other than the one I'm throwing!

I agree the sexy shad is by far the most talked about color around and top seller buy far ..I have alot of them and they really don't do well for me in the lake that i fish ( there is shad in the lake) I don't think that color of a frog will work but you never know..KVD is so popular that anything with his name will sell like hot cakes on a cold day in jan..JOHN

sexy shad is just a color. Sexy spoons, swimmers, shad, and frogs come in all sorts of productive colors so don't shy away from the sexy frog
I swear, it was this big (---------------------------------------)

JUST A COLOR?!! We could be struck by lightning for saying that...it's more like a MILLION DOLLAR COLOR! Even though I know what colors work best for frogs, I would still want my "sexy frog" in sexy shad color!

I just bought two KVD Sexy Frogs. One in sexy frog and the other in leopard frog. I can't wait to try these out. I have had a bit of success with Scum Frogs so these might do just as well if not better. Once I use them a few times and get a good feel for them, I'll post a full review in the Life Member forum.

I fish non-shad populated water all the time and I have great success with the Sexy Shad swimbaits, spinners, and cranks. I've caught bass/walleye/pike/crappie on them. I'm all for the color, and I have a frog too but yet to use it so don't know the results. I'm pretty certain the bottom of it is White with a hint of orange........so whats to say it is different than a white rat/frog? Bass looking up at a surface lure aren't seeing the top half of the frog anyway..they're seeing the underside.

Exactly...that yellow stripe down the side is there to get bites from fishermen!
