Posted By Bassbum on 13 Feb 2012 06:46 PM Thank you. It might take a bunch of sweet talking to my wife and her family, but I doubt I'll be that close again. Some of her family likes to fish, so it might not be too much of a fight. I will keep everyone posted. What species do you all catch up there?(during that season) I'll keep checking back. Thanks.
Fred: Just about anything you can think of is in the river! Have even caught Brown Trout around feeder streams!!! |

Still got plenty of time to organize one's Tackle box/s and put new line on your reels. Don't forget to make your Reservations at Goose Island or any Motels in La Crosse. |

I haven't startd yet. Between seeing this new foot Dr. and Having Voc-Rehab of MO. ready to find me employment, I don't know where I will be 7/25-29. Want to be there With all you folks at La Crosse, but may have to take a rain check this year. |

To all the members who have never been to a meet we hope you can find the time to join us this year Take care |

Going out on Lake Michigan on a Salmon Charter on Friday. Catfish Cindy and her son, Cousin Tom, and Getdanet are coming along. Wish us luck. I'll bring some pix to the meet. |

Well finally got time to post the results of the Salmon Charter. We only got 1 salmon and it was a big King. We also got 13 Lake Trout. the smallest of the Lakers was about 12 pounds and the biggest tipped the scale at well over 20. I'd call it a very sucessful trip. |

Ken I would say that with 14 fish in the boat ! plus being able to share time on the water with family and freinds makes it a great day on the water.... great job ! who caught /reeled in the king? |

Getdanet posted some pix from our trip and here is a link to see what we got. http://www.chitown-angler.com/1fish...=1&t=63931 My arms were a little sore the next day. But is was well worth it. just 1 of the fillets is enough for at least 2 people. |

Hi Jerry, to answer your question, I hooked up with the King. When it hit it was about 150 yds off the end of the boat and it made the reel sing when he made his first run. He peeled off more than 200 yards of string before he stopped. While I was working him, I thought I lost him as the line went slack. turned out he was making a run at the boat. What a fight. That was one to remember. |
