happy 4th everyone.looking for the naf. member who caught the 13 lb. sheepshead. He said he was a member and was going to post about it.It was on the government pier at Edgewater.Did not talk to him then,but my fishing buddy did and then told me about him.

Was his name Merlin by any chance ? Weather man is says it can hit 100 today. Now that is sizzlin!

my buddy didn't get his name but it was a good sized fish.was down by old coast guard station Thursday we got 4 or 5 good eating size channel cats and a bunch of little 6 and 7 inch cats we threw back.One guy down there caught a 12 pound ,31 inch carp.took it home said his mama knew how to cook them.

Weatherman calling for 101 today and 103 tomorrow. Not too many people from ohio post on here anymore. WE have an Ohio chapter site that most go to anymore and then some of them don't post on there anymore because they also have a facebook site for the club and many of them use that now.

Sunday morning and all is hot.was out fishing last night.Seemed like the conditions were good ,windy,chop on the water,lighting out over the lake.All I got was one bullhead.My buddy got a doublheader. lol. Two sheepshead.Thought he had a monster channel cat at first. Very disappointed to see those two " quality sheepshead". Got a good laugh at his expense.Now his nickname is sheepshead Williams.lol

Went to the pond last evening and rigged 1 rod with a crankbait and the other with a spinnerbait. Only had one hit but was able to hook her up. When I netted her I noticed a purple worm hanging out her mouth. Thought that was odd since I was using a crankbait. The purple worm was just another person lure that she broke off some other time but the hook was still in her mouth. She measured out to 20 1/4 inches.

I'm thinking your talking about a LMB? Just sayin' !!

Yep it was a largemouth bass. tried a different pond this morning for bass but no luck. Did catch 40 little bluegills to put in the pond that we use for the kids fishing derby here in 2 weeks.

I caught the same 20 1/4 inch bass that I did earlier this week, but on a different crankbait. I tried a popping frog for awhile but got no interest in it.

Good Sunday morning all ! You might think that about that bass. But there are literally thousands of 3 and 4 inch bluegills in this pond that they gourge thenselves on. These are chubby bass that are gluttens. All I need to do is just have my bait run slower than all the gills trying to get away and bam ! got em.
