Does any body make there own rods, If so, Is it easy. I have seen adds for rod building kits from companies like Mud hole and Net craft, I fish for salmon from shore and i can't  find or don't like what i find

I have not made any rods yet but i have been repairing some that i pick up at swap meets and yard sales. I just got a catolg in the mail today from mud hole and they are haveing a two day seminar out here on may 19 and 20th ( sacramento Ca ) to show how and i'm going to try to go so i can learn how...go online to mud hole and see if they are doing a seminar in your area. good luck .............JOHN
