Has anyone tried these Rebel critter baits? Santa brought these...don't know how well they'll work, but they certainly are cute little rascals!

I've used the popper that looks like a cricket which I'm pretty sure is a part of that series. Never really gotten a hit on it and I've used it a fair amount but hey, maybe you'll have better luck.

As a matter of fact...I'm going to predict that the one that looks like a hornet WILL catch fish!

I have a small Rebel Crickhopper (yellow bottom right) that I use for crappie and it produces well for me in the right circumstances. And your right the hornet/bee looking one (Bumble Bug) I know from other people produces well. Never used any of the minnow style Rebel plugs, Rebel seem have a nice niche in the odd critter plugs. One suggestion, the trebles I had on my Crickhopper were pretty light and I got caught up in weeds (or a larger fish hits them) they will straighten out quickly.

That is a good point...and I'm glad you brought it up. If you look closely at the photo, you'll see that I have already replaced the rear treble on both the hornet and grasshopper with a larger hook. And Hoss...if the craw don't work...I'll send it your way...but I wouldn't get my hopes up...LOL!

I have a grasshopper one, darker green than yours, haven't got a single bite yet, but that might be more on account of where I fished and when, plus the water clarity. I still have it, and I intend to try it again.

I don't have much experience with them although I have a couple of the lures. There was the case of an person who had filled out his Elk and Antelope tags who decided to go fishing in the Black River near Alpine, AZ, using a creek creature and caught a Brown trout about 13#. Bet he is happy with the lures.

This happened in the 2010 season and the sad part is that the Wallows Fire did a lot of damage to the watershed in that area. I haven't seen anything on the damage to the upper regions of the Blacik River but there was a report, with pictures of another area downstream which showed bass and crayfish killed by the ash and so forth washed into the river after rains. This was in the azbasszone site.
