OLDTIMER
I've been here for about 7 years. Erabbit it something right on the head and that is to try to make a member meet. You haven't experienced all a member can until you attend one of the member meets. I've had the fortune of going to several met some great people and had some great fishing. |

I haven't been around in nearly a year due to a lot of things. Things are getting less hectic so I will be making appearances again. LOL Anyway I look forward to getting back into the swing-of-things. |

My son and I attended the member meet in Gwinn, MI in 2007. It turned out to be a fantastic motorcycle ride and we met some club members I had joked with on the BB. It's always nice to put names and faces together. |

Have been a life member for a couple of years. I come up often to see what others have to say but don't usually have a lot to say myself. The only fish I put back are the ones that I can't legally keep. I do pretty good most of the time. I have more rods and reels than I can use so I'm not interested in getting more. I have a tackle box set up for each type of fishing I do so I don't have to lug a lot of stuff around. Sold my boat several years ago so most of my fishing is inshore. Good fishing to everyone and God Bless! |

I guess I fall into that "ole timers" bracket. Barresi, the complaint isn't about the ugrades to this site or to how fishing has changed over the years, but rather how this site used to work compared to now. I have been away for some time now and I have decided to to be more active no matter how hard it is. I gotta say tho, you have a lot of catching up ta do to match my posts and articles! But like Erabbit says, the real happening is when members get together at a meet, nothing better! Ole RodTender is a sweet heart and puts on a very good member meet, as well as Erabbit! This club has a lot to offer and as long as the site can run half decient then we'll have a place to meet and enjoy each other. I look forward to discussing fishing with all the members reguardless of how young (timers) they are! LOL! |

Been a life member for 4-5 years now. Never gave a thought to the date until one of the site upgrades lost all that info! Like some of the old timers, I'm not against progress. it's just that when they set out to "improve" and add a bunch of features of limited value and the site performance drops off to the point that some members can't even use the site because of connection issues you need to wonder. The site speed has improved marginally of late but is still not where it was when I first joined. I also find that entering through Firefox is better than IE. Cuts down on drops, errors and speeds things up quite a bit. Too bad I don't like the way Firefox handles my mail or I would leave IE completely. The way it stands, I have to toggle back and forth. |

I was a Charter member in '88 but let it lapse and rejoined later down the line, I then signed up for Life Membership so I don't have to remember to renew ever again. I will probably be a Trophy member the next time they send the invite. One question, How do I get the life member symbol into my avatar!! Thanks, Jeff |

Became a lifr back in '91...had life ins and promises of testing...have received one test product and it was fishhooks......quit getting premium invoices for my insurance a couple of yrs later and was promised they sould contact me....Still waiting...LOL. Guess all that money was lost. Just tried to reenroll for product testing and the page just loops back on itself when you click on the submit button. guess I should have put my money into BASS life membership. This money was pissed away. |

I joined in 1986 or so and became a life member in 1988. I've enjoyed Life Membership since 1988....24-years. |
