It's changes from pond to pond(or any waterway) for me.
I have had the most luck with Texas rigged worms and Chatterbaits
of all different colors this year. I throw the whole tackle box at em
until I start hookin' whatever lure that happens to be on instantly
becomes my favorite for the day!

While I am always going to love the two inch Rattlin' Rapala in baby bass color, I am really liking the Keitech swing impact in silver flash minnow. Bass love them and pickerel SLAM them!

Since you lost your best bass lure Big Jonesy...why don't you try the bait some gal suggested in here last year. She uses a chunk of onion and says the bass fight for it.

Bass like a big gob of nightcrawlers as much as anything else. Why waste money on lures when you can catch them on free worms?

I tend to try several different ones on a given day on the water, but my overall favorite would have to be soft plastics. Texas or Carolina rigged. All different styles and colors.

Spring time: Space Monkey or Smoking Rooster on a shakey head jig, Joe's Flies, Berkley Sick Minnows on weighted swimbait hook
Summer: Hollow body frogs, flipping jigs, wedge head jigs with crawfish or creature bait trailers, 10" worms on a weighted jig head
Fall: the one and only lure I use all fall long is the Huddleston Deluxe Golden Weedless Shad

Fishing area is Central PA.

I usually go with lipless crankbaits or soft-plastic craws rigged Texas or Carolina style.

I really have good luck with 3/8 oz white chatterbait with 6 in chartruse worm. But all soft plastics are good here in Indiana.

Mine has to be a crankbait from Bandit "splaterback" color in 100 or 200 sieries.
Although i got turned onto wacky worm fishing in the "lakes" last year and for a slow finese bait I tore up the smallies so will do more of that this year if the weather ever warms up. Warm weather cant get here fast enough for me.

My all time favorite bass lure... Is probably a cheap country store carded generic trout spinner. I hardly ever fish in-lines anymore. I don't even think I have any in the boat, but I "figured out" my first fishing presentation problem and caught my first bass on one in 1974 at this spot:

https://maps.google.com/?ll=32.839043,-114.440318&spn=0.000798,0.001206&t=h&z=20

My dad saw bass stacked up under the wash bridge, but the current was ripping that day. No way to fish it according to him. I suggested we cast in-lines across the current and back wind them to let them sweep under the bridge were the bass were hanging out in the shade. The current spun the blades, and for the first half dozen casts each we got slammed on every back wind and sweep. When we didn't get bit right away we would have to burn them back to keep them from getting swept into the bank.

Yeah, I know. A bunch of internet scouters are going to pound that spot now, but it might be worth it just to tell the tail. When I die put a plaque there that says I caught my first bass in that spot in 1974. LOL.
