I think Arizona does not get the credit it deserves. I need to head down there soon. I have the Apache trout on my list of fish to catch. Brian |

Or you could just go fishing. Very few Arizona waters have ever skunked me. None that I spent some real time on.

Hey mikyb58, just out of curiosity, who did the show you thought was silly? |

Actually Arizona has waters from the tule lined areas near Yuma to Lakes at over 9000' in the White mountains. Tons of fishing (and tournaments) in the Colorado River lakes and also the Central Arizona Lakes, Roosevelt and Pleasant for example. Plus rivers and streams, lots of them. Now, Arizona surely isn't Florida or Michigan and there are places which are miles from the nearest fishable water but there are still lots of fisherman here. The only person who has a TV show based in Arizona (that I know of ) is Johnny Johnson. I like his show because he does fish Arizona and he often partners with some other pretty good fisherman and will always tell you what he is using and why. So to have seen him, you have had to have access to Fox sports Arizona.

Here's a reply from "North American Fisherman TV" host Steve Pennaz: "Thanks for the post! Out goal with North American Fisherman TV is to provide information that anglers can use on their home waters. We produce 13 original episodes each year and to date have taped in nearly 30 different states, so there are several more we need to visit. Arizona? We love the state (and wish we were there right now!)." |

Don't feel bad, I can't remember ever seeing a segment featuring Illinois. Maybe that will change when the Fox Chain starts giving up 50" muskie on a regular basis. There aren't too many places where you can fish for a larger variety of species without traveling more than 45 minutes in any direction. |

Hmmmmm, 13 episodes-50 states, that means if you do only one episode per state, it will take 4 years to cover the country, and that is if there are no shows about Canada or Mexico. I think you need to do more episodes per year. |

You remember when a TV show season was 26 episodes, and they replayed the season in the summer? I hate this new 2-4 episode season broken up with 2-3 months of reruns that seems to be the format today. I watch less TV because of it. LOL.

Iaconnelli's show in Az was pretty cool. They whacked a limit in TTL, and then put the boat on the trailer and went urban pond hopping across town.
I almost had him convinced to do Yuma, but there just aren't enough "cityscape" type shots were the river runs along the side of town. Also that big Bass Cat he runs wouldn't get off the launches available. LOL. I would have loaned him The Tin Can though. LOL. I'll work on him when I get a chance. There are a couple cool shots for the camera man. You can post on his Facebook page, and sometimes he is the one who responds.

One reason for the 13 episode season could be that the fishing show shares a production team with the NAHC hunting show. That would put them at 26 weeks combined which seems to be the practical limit for a weekly series, allowing for planning, prep and travel. |
