Hey...the Alaska forum is breathing...its alive! You probably already noticed there isn't a hot bed of activity here...try finding an Alaska fishing forum on the internet and ask there...good luck!

    Hello MIpikeman,

I live close to you in North Pole. There are several pike fishing opportunities in the Interior. If you want road side access then you wont catch any huge fish. Chena River, Chena Slough and some local ponds will produce some small pike. Lake George (need a river boat) is a 100 fish a day fishery...some get over 30 inches. Minto Flats (need a boat) is another area with pike. Yukon River and tribs up North are trophy (need a boat) and fly-in options with someone like Rick Gold is the best best. You can always reach me at my self guided alaskan angling website www.alaskansalmonslayers.com or on our FB page. We are not guides or outfitters...we host the website for self guided angling ops. 1 June is when Pike open.

    hope this helps

    Dennis
