I would like to know what the various icons next to the topics mean.  I tried checking the bottoms of pages for a key, but there isn't any.  Aside from the yellow things I'm seeing here as classifications, there are things like thought bubbles, with and without orange dots.  What do they all mean?  How about including a key in the standard stuff at the bottom of the pages?

Good luck getting an answer on this...I asked a similar question MONTHS ago...was even told the answer was forthcoming. I'm still waiting!

Captain Quantum, if you look to the left side of the topics under a forum heading, you will see the icons (pictures) we are talking about. For example, there are several topics under the heading "How to Use these Forums" and each one has an icon next to the topic name.

When you create a new post, you have the option to add one of these icons to help others identify what your post is about. If you don't choose one it shows up as a thought bubble. The orange star identifies new posts that you have not read yet

Thanks Hossimus. I wasn't sure what they meant but yeah I knew that as well.

Hey Hoss...maybe you can answer me too. The icons that have me baffled are on the other side of the page. Pick a forum...lets use Ask a Fisherman. As you scroll down through the threads, you'll see icons over by the number of replies.(circles with ?, circle with "i", green check marks) What's up with these?

Thanks Hossinonimus, that helps a lot. Didn't realize the orange dots tell what's new.

Mo, I wasn't sure either but after looking at it you can choose informational, unresolved or resolved question in the ask a fisherman forum when you create a post. I would assume that the poster can mark an unresolved question as resolved after their question has been answered to their satisfaction. I have never used any of those though, so its just my guess at this point
