...trout that is. I know I may seem like a broken record (do young people know what that really means, anyways?), but I do love to share my daughter's success stories. She goes so many days on the water coming up smelling like a skunk. But, occasionally she does well. She past Saturday, the family ventured to a new river and it didn't take long before my wife and daughter (Michelle) got into them. It was a mix of nymphing and bugger stripping, and both did well. But, with Michelle's lack of many years experience, she "long-lined" released many fish that hooked up. Still managed to get some to hand. These were all wild, as no fish are stocked in this river, so we never expected any trophy-sized fish, but that first one sure fought like a trophy, and that's all that counts. Here's a couple of pics that I wanted to share. She's a senior this year, heading to college this fall. A dad like me might not get this many quality adventures in the future once she leaves the house.
