Scasteel, I bet that was a blast catching that Pike on ultralight. It is amazing how big a fish you can get on light line, if you have your drag set right and take your time with them.

Nice cats Mo. Do you know United from the Ohio chapter? He has been catching channel cats on spoons while trolling this summer. He even made some on his own and did well with them.

Hay thanks mo, by the looks on here you are right seems everyone is doing well this yr. they have been letting alot of water out of the lake that i have been fishing in for over 20 yr's not sure if that has anything to do with the bite but it has been really great this yr. Guy's have been getting there limits on kokanee. crappie bite is off the hook also i have been getting close to catching my limit on them almost everytime we go out for them. ( limit is 25 ) thank again...........JOHN

Fished in a pond last evening that is owned by a local corporation. It is open to the public to fish in it, but everything, including panfish is catch and release. The pond is only 5 or 6 years old now and the bluegills are now sandwich size. I was catching them left and right, even though I had to throw over 30 feet to to get past all the weeds growing in the pond. It was tough throwing back all those nice size gills. I wish they would realize that eventually these bluegills will overpopulate and become stunted. I wish I knew who to talk to about doing some selective harvest on the panfish to keep the pond healthy.

I caught this porker this evening on a 9 inch black SnakeWorm. It was pretty hot out...so I wasn't carrying my tacklebag...and the scale and tape were in it...back at the van... I would say though, that she was about 20 inches and around 5 pounds.

Nice fish Mo. Say we are putiing together a panfish tournament for October if you are interested. We are going to decide where to have it when we have the mini meet this month at E. Harbor.
